Travel to the heart of Denali National Park, far from the crowds, in the shadow of Mt. Denali (McKinley), North America’s highest peak. Steeped in Alaskan history - the original Kantishna Roadhouse was built in the early 1900’s – today’s Kantishna Roadhouse maintains the tradition of hospitality establish a century ago when no one was turned away and visitors found a hot meal, a soft bed and a warm welcome. Owned by Alaskan Natives of Athabascan descent, our staff guides have deep ties to the land, extensive knowledge of the plants and animals, and firsthand information and experiences regarding the challenges and rewards of living for generations in an extreme environment.

 

Kantishna Roadhouse features deluxe rustic cabin accommodations, all meals and snacks during your stay, abundant daily guided (and self guided) activities, and hosted evening naturalist programs. The lodge grounds also boast ample space to find either solitude or adventure.

Costs:

$405.00 per person per night based on double occupancy
$320.00 per person per night for each additional guest in the room
$505.00 per person per night for single occupancy

*All stays require a two-night minimum (3 nights recommended). Bed tax of $7.50 per person/per night applies.

Round trip transportation from the park entrance…190 miles, accommodations with a private bath, all meals between regular check in time and regular check out time, Guided Hiking, Interpretive Programs, Gold Panning Excursions, Dog Sled Demonstrations, Mountain Biking, Fishing Equipment for Fishing in Moose Creek (fresh water) or Wonder Lake, Evening Excursions to Wonder Lake to view the Mountain and Alpenglow colors.
