The Lodge is located near the site of the first Hudson Bay Trading Post in the Yukon means you can almost feel the history. In fact, one of the original Hudson's Bay cabins is rebuilt on the site of the Lodge and used as a guest cabin. Your visit to Frances Lake will seduce your senses, rejuvenate your body, invigorate your spirit, and nourish your soul. Lay your own snowshoe tracks in the dazzling white snow. Try cross-country skiing. How about ice fishing or building a quincy? Make a snow angel!

Travel Itinerary:

Day 1
Arrive in Whitehorse. Check in at your hotel in the heart of the town, close to the frozen Yukon River. Evening free to complete your equipment or just relax after traveling.

Day 2
After breakfast you will board a ski plane and fly over endless forests, frozen meadows and rivers. Keep an eye out for caribou. At the lodge, you will be shown to your warm log cabin. Explore the vicinity of the lodge and enjoy the incredible beauty and silence of Frances Lake. This evening, a hearty dinner will be served in the main building, which boasts an awesome view of the Logan Mountains. The lodge also features a bright and comfortable lounge with a small library.

Days 3 to 6
Together, we will explore and enjoy this fairytale winter paradise. Try cross-country skiing or snow-shoeing. The trails will lead us along the lake and through forests to exciting viewpoints. We might spot a few moose or wolves, but we guarantee you’ll be the only people for miles!

A longer excursion will bring us to a creek where we will find the frozen stairs of a waterfall. Many animals are around the lake and you will learn to tell their tracks apart. How about catching a fish through the thick ice? It’s not easy, but fun trying. And at night, with a bit of luck, we will be rewarded by watching the dancing Northern Lights. The incredible silence may only be interrupted by the howling of the wolves.

Day 7
The bush plane will take you back to Whitehorse where you will spend one more night in your city hotel.

Day 8
You will leave Whitehorse for your trip home or for your next adventure
